Beata Juhasz has been part of Teva since 2009. Today, as Operational Quality Assurance Manager in Debrecen, Hungary, she proudly leads a team of 22 colleagues, working to ensure the quality of Teva products.

I joined Teva directly out of college and over the years grew within the company. Today I am the Operational Quality Assurance Manager at the Teva site in Debrecen, Hungary, where I have a team of 22 colleagues. We oversee the manufacturing of bulk products, from their arrival through their release in batches. Our product portfolio is very broad and we manufacture medicines for blood pressure, pain relief, depression, cholesterol reduction and immunosuppression. This includes responsibility for preparation of inspections and audits, and implementation of continuous improvement processes to ensure compliance.

As a young managerial candidate, I observed many leadership styles and came to the conclusion that teamwork and trust are essential. In our discipline, it’s important to solve problems with brainstorming and then think logically to find solutions. That’s best done in collaboration with others.

Since I first became part of the company, my experience at Teva has been diverse and I received great guidance and support. It helped me define my personal leadership approach and have confidence in my job.

Every day, I go to the shop floor to meet with our frontline employees, those who oversee the manufacturing of our products. This is an important goal for my team, as we want to keep expanding our knowledge about operations and systems and how they work. By working together, we can build a community and common purpose in ways you can’t do from behind a desk.

I like to think of myself as great planner. I am always looking to fulfil my potential by doing everything that is possible, both at work and in my home. This is why I love family time and my hobbies, where I unleash my creativity. One of these hobbies is baking. I experiment with flavors and designs and create all kinds of cake.
